The Rivoli Arts District (RAD) is a newly formed 501(c)(3) Nonprofit that is managing the historic Rivoli Building. The RAD is a hub for all creative individuals in the Coulee Region.
The building will be open for exploration on Friday, September 5th from 5-9pm with remarks at 6pm in the 2nd floor production studio.
Come and walk through all three floors of the newly renovated Rivoli building and explore RAD’s 30+ artist studios, Art Workshop room, Common rooms & gallery spaces, as well as The Rivoli Theatre’s party room and the home of the La Crosse Film Academy which features a podcasting room, equipment storage cage, post-production lab and 2,000 sqft production studio.
Live music by DJ Natalia Rocafuerte as well as light beverages and food throughout the building will make this the RADDEST party of the year!

Yoga Art Fusion (with Erich Boldt) - A 45 min Vinyasa flow fused with a zentangles drawing activity, All levels are welcome! BYOM (bring your own mat), all other materials will be provided. 16+, under 18 needs guardian permissions (Reservations Encouraged)

Zine and Button Making (w/ Dusty Karls) Join us for a hands-on Button and Zine Making Art Workshop where creativity meets DIY flair! Learn how to design and assemble your own mini-magazines (zines) and turn artwork into your own buttons.
All materials are provided—just bring your ideas and imagination. A drop-in workshop for all ages!

Mark Making Mural (The Art Lounge)- Come explore some controlled and gestural mark making on a mini interactive mural at The Art Lounge! (Open event, no reservation required!)

Figures and Forms (Jennifer Williams & UWL Art Students)- Participants of all ages will explore a range of figures and forms through cut paper silhouettes and observational drawing processes.

Photo Booth (Fokus Photo)- Stop by the Photo Booth and strike some RAD poses for a chance to be featured on our social media platforms! (Open event, no reservation required!)

Join artists Sandra Albers, Marianne Rice, and Sarah Gillert for a 2–3 hour live painting session exploring women in motion. A 1–2 hour open sketch jam invites guest artists or the public to draw alongside them. Viewers are welcome to explore the exhibition and be part of the performance experience. Ask questions, observe techniques, and engage with the creative process. All ages welcome. (Reservations Encouraged)

Hanging on to that old shirt that needs a little TLC? Curious about knitting but haven't the slightest idea of how to get started? Perhaps you've grown weary of sitting alone working on that project you'd like to finish. I'll be in the studio and welcoming drop-in visitors Saturday, September 6th from 10-2. Bring your current project and enjoy working in the company of others. Looking to get started? Bring a small project to repair and I'll have a supply of needles, thread, yarn and scraps.

Film Equipment Petting Zoo (Academy Staff)- The La Crosse Film Academy is opening up their equipment cage for folks to explore of variety of film equipment. Items can include; black magic 6k cameras, dolly, steady cams, gimbels, Light boxes, Nova P600c lighting panels, and more! . All experience levels welcome! (Open event, no reservation required!)

RAD Bod Gallery Exhibit (RAD Artists)- RAD bods is a group exhibition featuring the beauty and curiosity of the human form and presence, encompassing all kinds of art by RAD artists and guest artists, including those who have been attending our figure drawing sessions with the live model. The exhibition will also include some of the "RAD shadows," life-sized silhouettes created during the Grand Opening, under the direction of Art Education students from UWL.
